Embarrassed about a dated space? Frustrated with the layout? Overwhelmed with the amount of options? We work with clients all the time that are excited about the thought of a renovation but reluctant to take action because of the daunting process it seems to be. We’re here to help you through that process and overcome the challenges of any project – be it a small update or a full home renovation. Read on to see how we work.
Step 1:
Design
Before meeting with one of our Designers write down some of the issues you’re having with the space. This is a great place to start and is often only the surface of what really needs to change.
Take some photos and sketch out a plan with some overall measurements, this helps us get a feel for the layout as we talk about your renovation.
We start with a free consultation that takes place at our showroom, so you can get a feel for our company and see what we’re all about – we love showing off some of our past projects and discussing the possibilities for yours! We’ll go through budget, timelines, and goals for your space, ensuring we can make appropriate recommendations that meet your needs.
Step 2:
Design Phase
Once the scope of work is determined during the consultation we’ll prepare an agreement for the design work to be completed, once this is signed and a design fee is collected we can begin the exciting process of designing the transformation of your home. In this Design phase you can expect the following:
- Site Data Collection – The Designer & Project Manager will visit your home to take all necessary measurements and photo’s for your project. An assessment of your space is also completed to provide you with a detailed renovation outline and quote for the work involved
- Conceptual Drawings – The designer will present floor plans discussing which options best suit your needs & wants. General colour and style options are presented for your feedback
- Preliminary Consultation at the showroom – Drawings with revisions are presented, including cabinetry details, preliminary lighting & electrical plan. Colour, style, and product selections are made. Preliminary budgetary figures are outlined
- Compilation of 1st Draft
- Second Consultation – Presentation of draft, all minor drawing changes are verified, renovation outline, interior drawings, & material selections. Firm quote is verified.
Step 3:
Project Kick-Off
Your design is complete and we’re ready to start construction! Your Project Manager and Lead Carpenter will meet you on site to kick-off your project; running through our detailed checklists and site-binder with you so you know exactly what’s happening and when.
Step 4:
Final Walkthrough
When construction is finished and you’re ready to use your beautiful new space, we’ll do a final walk-through making sure every detail is complete to your satisfaction.
Step 5:
Warranty
Your project is complete but we haven’t forgotten about you! Don’t hesitate to let us know any issue that may arise – your Lead Carpenter will stop by and do any touch ups or service work needed. We’ve got you covered.
